The setup

Episode 1 starts in the narrator's bedroom, where his stepmother comes in without knocking and sees more than either expected. He apologizes, his dad calls up from below, and she covers smoothly. Later she wonders aloud why he never covered up, and says he seemed to enjoy it. Her tone is confident and slightly dangerous, and she adds that being family only raises the thrill.
