The setup

He turns up at home a day before he was due, and his stepmom is thrilled. In episode 1 she explains that his father is away until the end of the week, that the two of them have the big house to themselves, and that his room faces hers. They will share a bathroom, so she has one request: knock first. That rule doesn't survive the episode. When he sees more of her than he expected, she is not embarrassed in the slightest and makes it plain that she is happy to run things while his dad is gone.

Why it is worth the time

It's a direct, compact taboo story that runs on proximity: a hallway, an open door, a bathroom with a flimsy rule. The stepmom's confidence carries it, and the absent father gives it a deadline.

Best night for it

Strictly a solo watch, late, when you want something brief and bold rather than a slow build.
