The setup

Gia is one signature away from the largest contract she'll land this year, and the client, Richard, refuses to sign unless both sides arrive as married couples. Her husband pulls out, so in episode 1 Gia points at the new guy and tells him to pack a suit. He calls his girlfriend, who wants to know if his intimidating manager is treating him well. At dinner Richard toasts the happy couple, the new guy almost corrects the record, and Gia steers him back into character with a reminder of whom he is married to for the trip, plus a hint that her bark isn't the whole story.

Why it is worth the time

Fake marriage plus office hierarchy is a great combination. Gia is funny and formidable, her stand-in husband sweats through every scene, and the client's watchful eye keeps the lie fragile.

Best night for it

An easy pick for a weeknight wind-down after a long day at the office, ideally with someone who enjoys a bossy lead.
