The setup

Episode 1: Rory had said his friend owned a van, not that he had grown into someone Amanda notices. Rory asks him to help pack before flying home on Friday, and to take good care of her. Her year has been bruising. Amanda holds up old keepsakes, asking keep or toss, and admits two decades in that house passed without her husband looking her way once. Between viewings, a pushy agent arrives and compliments the helper's hands. In episode 2 she asks for help in Rory's old bedroom. A rival friend offers to borrow him afterward, and Amanda says she needs him now.

Why it is worth the time

A bittersweet moving-day story with real warmth: a woman reclaiming a house and her confidence, plus a nosy guest who wants her helper for herself. Easy to like, and gently funny.

Best night for it

A Sunday afternoon or an easy night in. Gentle pace, no rush, and it works well solo.
