The setup

Danny and his stepsister Delilah both come back from college for the weekly dinner at their parents' suburban house. The storm decides everyone is sleeping over. Delilah, a bratty twenty-one-year-old with mint-green hair, teases him about where his eyes went during grace. They are sent to deal with laundry, the dryer drowns everything out, and she hints at what could happen if the family tie did not exist. In episode 2 she sets up a game: he answers a question, then she does, and she wants one sentence from him out loud.

Why it is worth the time

It is a game of nerve. The family is in the next room, the clock is the storm, and the lead keeps raising the stakes. You will want to know who blinks first.

Best night for it

A Friday or Saturday night when you want a bratty, teasing story with a fast pace and a clear challenge.
