The setup

Mona likes her life organized, and her stepbrother David is the opposite: loud, cocky and fond of getting a rise out of her. Their parents are away, so he picks her up and the ride home is one long fight, mostly about where he keeps looking. At the house the arguing continues. In episode 2 a chore war ends with a bargain about a night out, and he brings her a gift for it. She rolls her eyes, but the outfit and the way she checks the mirror say she is more curious than she lets on.

Why it is worth the time

This is the long-running one, with many short episodes, and its energy comes from the sparring. Both leads are stubborn, funny and badly matched, which is what makes them watchable together. The free episodes show only the warm-up.

Best night for it

Choose it when you have time to settle in, since the series is long enough to fill a few evenings.
