The setup

Bedtime is done upstairs, and the sitter is comfortable in the kitchen, telling the husband that his wife said she could make herself at home. She is confident and a bit bossy. A text from her boyfriend interrupts them, and she replies that he is a boyfriend for now. She wonders when his wife returns, hears midnight, and reminds him that her time is billed hourly. In episode 2 the clock is ticking, he reminds her that he is married, and she says that is the fun part. Then a call comes in: his wife is sleeping over at a friend's place and wants the sitter compensated until sunrise.

Why it is worth the time

The structure is a clock: on an hourly rate, home by midnight, then a phone call that cancels the deadline. It is sly, brisk and easy to follow, and the sitter is clearly in charge.
