The setup

After a long day of travel, our narrator swipes her keycard and finds a man in the room she was assigned. The front desk cannot explain it, and there are no other rooms available. Tired, she decides to change clothes and tells him not to be weird. He stays quiet, which she finds more unsettling than a conversation. In episode 2 she steps back in and realizes the situation is stranger than a mix-up. She asks his name, he offers no answer, and she decides to call him Daddy. Still nothing. The question here is what the people in the room already know.

Why it is worth the time

It is a one-room mood piece with very little dialogue and a lot of tension. The sense that someone planned it all in advance gives the premise a satisfying edge.

Best night for it

Late at night, in the dark, when you want atmosphere and a slow reveal rather than banter.
