The setup

The new priest gives a polished first sermon on resisting temptation, and afterward the congregation shakes his hand. One parishioner, Mika, lingers. She tells him, in the confessional, that her private thoughts have turned to him. Episode 2 plays as a duel by dialogue: he insists she should not speak that way, she asks if she should describe what she imagined, and every answer he gives comes a little too fast. Neither of them is leaving, and the pause before the door closes is the whole scene. She is a grown woman who knows what she is doing.

Why it is worth the time

It is the forbidden-vow setup done with restraint. Much of the heat is in what gets said inside a small wooden booth, and the voice acting carries it. You feel his resolve slipping line by line.

Best night for it

Best late at night with headphones, when you want atmosphere and slow tension rather than anything loud.
