The setup

The driver is the first to admit he is no catch, so he cannot believe his luck when a striking woman waves him down. Back at a gas station she ditched her boyfriend. They are miles from anywhere, the sun is brutal, and the closest motel has a single room left. In episode 2 she calls the shots: a call to the ex that closes that chapter, a teasing question about how often he checks in with company, and a towel request that gets him to step closer.

Why it is worth the time

It is road-movie flirtation at a quick clip, and the heat comes from her confidence next to his nerves. The setup is simple and very watchable. Only two characters and one location, so it is easy to follow.

Best night for it

A short break or a late-night screen, when you want a self-contained setup and a little humor.
