The setup

Harriet is new at the hospital and on the last night of probation, and a senior nurse is pushing for her exit. Then the chief of surgery tells her the floor will be quiet and suggests it would be a shame to spend the lull on forms. He takes her to the on-call room, tells that nurse to keep everyone away and closes the door. Harriet, who feels awkward in her scrubs, hears him tell her they look perfect. In episode 2 the head nurse stands outside and wonders why it is taking so long, and Harriet learns why he picked her.

Why it is worth the time

It is a hospital power fantasy with a clear underdog and a jealous rival pacing the hall. The mood is a little sweeter than most, with real warmth for the lead.
