The setup

Legend says the sunken court never lets an intruder leave. Our narrator, a mortal burglar, came for a stone, and he loses focus the moment he sees the princess. She asks why a man who knelt before her never begged. He admits that he was distracted by the view. Instead of killing him, she keeps him as her own. Episode 2 shows what that means in practice: orders, lessons and a betrothed who sends for her at the worst moment, and a warning that getting caught would cost them both their lives.

Why it is worth the time

The court politics and the quiet danger build a real fantasy world fast. The thief's cheek against the princess's authority is a lot of fun, and the stakes feel clear.
